Call for Facilitators and Mentors

Keen to support the emerging AI Research Leaders in Nigeria? ResearchRound is seeking facilitators and mentors for its AI. Humanities. Social Sciences Fellowship program, for emerging AI-adjacent researchers in Nigeria.

This fellowship designed for Nigerian postgraduate students aims to:

  • Bridge the gap between AI and humanities/social sciences research in Nigeria
  • Approach AI equitably and in service of our communities
  • Center Nigerian postgraduate students in global AI discourse
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and critical thinking

We’re Seeking Facilitators For:

  1. Introduction to AI.Humanities.Social Sciences
  2. AI in Literary, Creative and Language Arts
  3. AI in Public Interest Research
  4. AI + Legal Frameworks
We are also seeking Mentors to support participants through their journey. 

Facilitators spend 90 minutes delivering a session while Mentors spend a flexible period and provide a total of 2-3 hours of mentorship to emerging research leaders. 
 

Our current facilitators and mentors include experts in ethical AI research, community engagement, Natural Language Processing, and AI in communication and digital media. We welcome additional perspectives to enrich our interdisciplinary approach.

 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

  • Starts in February 2025
  • 8-week intensive fellowship
  • Twice-weekly 90-minute sessions
  • Weekly mini-assignments and a final research project
  • Continuous feedback and mentorship
