LUNE TWO

AI, Humanities and Social Sciences

An 8 week-fellowship for Researchers on AI intersections and opportunities for research.
This fellowship is designed to provide a practical and collaborative understanding of AI, its applications, and ethical considerations, for Nigerian graduate students in the humanities and social sciences. Participants will engage in classes, mini assignments and a final research project, focusing on the intersection of AI, humanities, and social sciences. Towards a safer, steerable and reliable future, the goal of the program is to inspire more Nigerian researchers to explore AI research in humanities and social science fields especially as it applies or can be applied to African communities.
;
01
5 Weeks for learning

Participants will learn from a curated list of researchers in different fields. Topics will be focused on fields in AI and opportunities for exploration.

02
6 Weeks of Mentorship

Along with learning, researchers will work with mentors who can guide the researchers through their research work and also share insights that help them move forward.

;
03
1 research project

Researchers will be required to work on a small project that can put their knowledge to test. Participants may be paired and would receive guidance from their mentor.

04
1 Presentation Workshop

At the end of the program, the researchers will make a workshop presentation of their project that allows us understand how they have fared through the entire program.

1 Workshop Presentation

The program has exceeded my expectations, aligning my knowledge and significantly enhancing my research capabilities from start to finish. It has been a worthwhile investment in my academic and research journey.

Chime Amadi
Doctoral Researcher

I gained so much. The sessions, every one of them has equipped me with the knowledge I never knew were essential to research. I'm 10x better than I've ever been in conducting research.

Deborah Ajanya Ojochei
University of Lagos

I gained a lot starting with research skills, importance of research, the nitty-gritty of research, how to coordinate myself during low moments during research. I am more confident about research.

Etukudo Comfort
University of Ilorin

I know what the journey to beginning and ending a research project entails. I learnt about the connection between research and sustainable development and how various disciplines contribute to addressing global challenges.

Temiloluwa Oloye
University of Ibadan

I wonder how my research capacity would have been without attending this program. It was a total turnaround experience for me. I got introduced to new tools that I ordinarily wouldn't have known. I sound like a genius before my peers when we discuss research, all thanks to Lune.
